Sources said iPhone sales in the US have dramatically decreased since the fourth quarter of last year, although the reason for the decrease is not known yet. Does this mean that the iPhone fever has died down in the US?
In the UK, exclusive iPhone dealer O2 has decided to offer more text and call time for iPhone users in the hope of attracting more buyers noting a long shelf life for iPhones in their stores.
Analysts, however, believe the iPhone sales figure will soar once the phone is launched in Asia and other countries. But Asia is already flooded with China-made iPhone clone. Will Apple’s iPhone manage to clear the way and kill the competition in Asia?

Wow. How I wish i live in UK right now so I can also avail of the increased monthly allocation of minutes and texts from 200 to 500-600 (for those who signed a £35-a-month contract with O2).
Those on a £45 monthly tariff will have their minutes doubled to 600, while a new £75 tariff will replace the £55 monthly charge and give users 3,000 minutes and 500 texts. This move by O2 immediately illicited positive reactions from iPhone users who can now have more value for their monthly fees.
But wait, why is O2 doing this? Does this move mean that the company failed to achieve its sales target for the iPhone in UK? (more…)
