Yes, there are a lot of mobile phone manufacturers who have tried but didn’t generate much interest as Apple’s iPhone. Nokia hugged the headlines when information about its touch screen phone Nokia Tube 5800 leaked online. • All eye’s were still on iPhone in the past week especially with the scheduled 80 iPhone essential sessions at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco, California, where developers get upclose with iPhone engineers and their questions about SDK answered in the various sessions.

The week also witnessed the announced of VoIP in iPhone 2.0 through Fring.

But the most controversial iPhone issue of the week is the price cuts that have been taking place around Europe. It was O2 that first introduced a £100 iPhone bundled with a monthly plan. This week ended with a big question: Will Nokia shake the status of Apple’s iPhone with its own touch-screen unit named Tube 5800?

The SDK 3 was also introduced a couple of days ago for developers to tinker on the iPhone and introduce useful programs. But several developers are asking if Apple is really serious in dealing with small developers or whether or not it already has forged partnership with big companies for its programs.

The iPhone fever is still up and we are expecting more news about the iPhone in the coming days!

nike-iphone-nike.jpgNike+ is a special kit that will record the distance and length of a walk or run through a little sensor in your shoe. Nike+ was originally made for iPod nano but a Nike insider said the system will be modified to support the iPhone and the iPod Touch.

While no one from Nike and Apple would confirm the reports, bringing the Nike+ to the iPhone would be in the best interest of Nike considering the popularity of the iPhone (that is if Nike wants to remain competitive in the industry).

Nike+ will surely work well with iPhone, especially when the 3G handset will be released, and anyone can easily update his profile online using the mobile phone.          (more…)
