Early this year, Garmin has introduced Nüvifone, an iPhone look-alike primed with 3G mobile broadband connectivity and GPS (read story here). The nüvifone is an all-in-one, sleek and slim, touchscreen device that combines a premium phone, mobile web-browser, and cutting-edge personal navigator. (more…)

Mobile analysts reveal that Apple is now the world’s leading manufacturer of smartphone. Thanks to iPhone. Oh, don’t get me wrong. Recent news revealed that Apple is only third in the industry with Research in Motion and Nokia leading the way.
But, hey, the iPhone was only introduced in June 2007 in selected countries with limited operators while Nokia and Research in Motion have been shipping smartphones in almost all corners of the world.
Comparing these three smartphone makers, Nokia and Research in Motion will fade in the background with all the stage light beamed on Apple. Apple shipped 2,320,840 units of the iPhone in Q4 and it is expected to ship several millions more when the iPhone becomes available in Asia and other mobile phone market around the world. (more…)
