News is rift that Apple is on its way to creating its own in-house Radio applications for their already popular iPod touch as well as the iPhone. The inside news is that this new radio.apps will be similar to the FM radios that the iPod Nanos currently have along with its live pause option.

What’s taking Apple long to release the Radio.apps is anyone’s guess. Infact according to what sources have to say is that Apple is looking to integrate the application along with Mobile iTunes. This will then be an added functionality to the Mobile iTunes.

Just so that users can download their required music from iTunes Apple is trying to gets its tagging capability on the right tracks. The App Store on Apple’s iPhone right now allows users to listen to ESPN radio as well as Pocket Tune Radio although this comes for a decent fee. These two stations require to work on GPS so that they find the right bandwidth station in that area.

Siruis XM had earlier announced that it was to release the much awaited SkyDock. This application is docked on to the iPhone or the iPod touch and this helps it connect to a satellite radio. Relations between Siruis and Apple have gone to a new extension where they now release the iPhone application which also serves as an extension to the mobile with the paid satellite radio that the user has opted for.

The SkyDock gives an extensive 120 channels for the user to choose from. Although a trial offer is available, after which the application is available through a regular subscription.
