iPhone creator Apple said it had not rejected Google’s voice application for the iPhone, disagreeing with an earlier statement from Google Inc. that has caught the eyes of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
Aplle said it was still studying the voice application of Google to ensure that it will not replace the core mobile telephone functionality of the iPhone, said a report from Reuters.
Google earlier claimed Apple rejected its voice app for the iPhone, prompting the FCC to enter into the scene and send letters to the companies involved for explanations.
Apple maintained that position on Friday. “We do not agree with all of the statements made by Google in their FCC letter,” Apple spokesman Steve Dowling said. “Apple has not rejected the Google voice application, and we continue to discuss it with Google.”
