New web browsers for the iPhone have started appearing on Apple’s App Store, as Apple finally let go of its strict policy on not allowing third-party web browsers. The first few browsers to be approved are called Edge Browser, Incognito, WebMate and Shaking Web.
Although these browsers still run on the backbone of Safari, the development is seen by many as a good sign for better browsers to get in to the iPhone.
While it is still early to say, we are hoping that Apple will finally allow stand alone browsers, like Firefox and Opera, to get into the iPhone.
