Apple reportedly to release 3G iPhone in Europe

Millions of Asians are waiting for the official release of Apple’s iPhone in the region. But the question that has not been answered yet is this: Will asians get the 3G iPhone?

“Selling the first genration iPhone in Asia will be like selling Playstation 1 to a market that knows the existence of Playstation 3,” said Anthony Chin Lee, an IT analyst in Singapore.

A source said Apple could probably ship the first generation iPhone to Asia (mostly unsold units from US or European stores) and this could mean lower sales for the iPhone in this region.         

Chin Lee, however, said Apple will make the right move and that will be to bring the 3G iPhone to Asia instead of throwing the unsold first generation iPhone in the region.

Meanwhile, reports reveal that Apple wil be introducing the long-awaited, faster 3G version of its best-selling iPhone by the August summer holidays in some European countries, not in the USA.

Apple, however, remains silent on the release of the much-anticipated 3G iPhone, including the dates and the countries where the iPhone will first take off.
