World’s number 1 mobile phone maker Nokia is not taking the iPhone mania hands down as it reportedly is working on its first touchscreen phone, codenamed “Tube” - an iPhone look-alike that will surely shake the status of the iPhone in the mobile phone industry.

Thomas Libretto, vice president of Forum Nokia, said the “Tube” will be Nokia’s first touch device and can “compete with iPhone”.

Libretto presented the “Tube”, which looks similar to iPhone and with the same touch screen interface and with Java support, at the Evans Data Developer Relations Conference in Redwood City, California.

Nokia, however, has not released an official planned date of shipment for Tube.
