For only €99, anyone in Germany can now own an 8G iPhone, a saving of up to €300. But there’s a catch – you must sign up for the top end Complete XL Plan that costs €89 per month.

T-Mobile offers the €99 iPhone on the German launch of the much-awaited mobile phone produced by Apple. Yes, only €99 but you have to commit to spending an extra €960 on the monthly plan.

A T-Mobile spokesperson referred to the offer as a “sales promotion” rather than a subsidy, and declined to comment on any new model that might be in the pipeline.

The iPhone with 16G of memory remains at €499 from T-Mobile.
